Avis de décès
MCCOY, ÉRIC
1953 - 2018BOSTON
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Eric Robert McCoy, age 64. Eric was born in Cleveland, Ohio and spent his youth in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
He went to Staunton Military Academy for high school, Jacksonville University for his business degree and then moved to Boston to work for Xerox. He had a successful career at Xerox in Sales, retired when he was 45 due to MS and lived the rest of his life in downtown Boston.
He is predeceased by his mother, Beverly and his father William.
Eric lived his life independent and on his own terms to the end. His strength, courage and sense of humor will live on in the hearts of his sisters Vicki (Jack Casson), Lynn (Bryan Belanger) and April, his nephews Todd Smith (Deanne), Troy Smith (Chris) and Brett Smith (Kate), his great nephews and niece (Nolan, Mckenzie, Graydon, Tyler and Tristan), his lifelong friends (the four amigos - Don Jones, Red Dion and Jim Martineau), Ernesto who made his independence possible and was always there for Eric, and his four legged best friends Rocky and Goldie.
Special thanks to Dr. Gunning at Mass General who took such wonderful care of Eric for many years.
A memorial service will be held at the Steve L. Elkas Funeral Home, 601 Rue du Conseil, Sherbrooke, QC on Saturday, January 27th at 12 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Golden Lion in Lennoxville.
