Died peacefully at the age of 89 after a life well lived on Monday January 1st, 2018. Dear wife of the late Bill "Higgy" Condie, beloved mother to Bob (Elise), Jamie (Gail), Mary (David), Tom (Blaire) and Bruce (Samia). Loved Grandma "Nanny" to Meghan, Sarah (Steve), Amanda, Chris, Stephanie, Rebecca, Owen, Lerica, Samantha, Alexa and Marcus "The Royal". Survived by her sisters Brenda and Moira and brothers Michael and Brian. Predeceased by her sister Peggy and brothers John and Willy.
Born in Verdun Quebec, Eileen made her way to work at Mont-Tremblant where she fell in love with skiing and the Laurentians, a tradition that still lives in the family today. She met the love of her life Bill and they raised their family in and around Montreal. They retired to Port Charlotte, Florida where they hosted family and friends sneaking away from the cold Quebec winters.
Friends may pay their respects at St. Luke’s parish, 106A Anselm Lavigne, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, H9A 1N8 on Friday January 5, 2018 as of 10:30 followed by the Funeral at 11:00 a.m. and a reception in the church’s hall.
A special thanks to all the caregivers and staff at the Maxwell residence in Baie-D'Urfé for their unending care and love shown to our mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montreal Neurological Institute.
