SMITH, Gary john
1959 - 2018Sherbrooke
Passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on June 21, 2018 at the age of 59. Gary leaves to mourn his loving wife of 32 years Bonnie Juby-Smith, and proud, loving father of Haydn and Taylor and furry companion Jake.
He will be fondly remembered for his gentleness, lively sense of humour and his devotion to his family.
Gary also leaves to mourn his in-laws: Malcolm and Beatrice Juby, his brotherin- law: Fletcher Juby (Kathy), predeceased by his brother-in-law: Carl Juby, his nieces: Amanda Juby (Fred & son Émile) and Krista Juby (Alex) and their two children: Maddix and Brock as well as many other relatives and friends.
Condolences will be received from family and friends, Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 at the Steve Elkas Funeral Home, 601 rue du Conseil, Sherbrooke QC J1G 1K4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
To respect Gary’s wishes a private service will be held at a later date at the East Bolton Cemetery in Austin.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Johanne Fregeau for the outstanding and compassionate care she gave to Gary and the family.
In lieu of flowers donations to SPA (1139 blvd. Queen Victoria, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1J 4N5) or East Bolton Cemetery Assoc. (109 Oxford Crescent #102, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1M 2G3) would be appreciated.
