Beloved wife of the late J Harold (Hallie) Lauber, Eva passed away peacefully on Friday Sept. 13th, at the age of 102.
One of thirteen children of the late William Jodoin and Elizabeth Larocque of Williamstown, Ontario, she was predeceased by brothers Jim, Herb, Ernie, Leslie, David, Albert, Earl; and sisters Ethel, Pearl, Aletha and Margaret. She is survived by sister Rita Jodoin and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Eva lived a long and fruitful life and touched the lives of many. Whether it was knitting, crocheting, or other craft making – which she gifted or donated – she was always busy. She took up art later in life and became a prodigious painter, winning several awards. She will truly be missed.
A very special thank you to nieces Anne Marie, Christine & especially Lynn for the loving care and companionship they provided Eva since Hallie’s passing.
Thanks also to the staff of Les Floralies and the CLSC for their professional and compassionate care during her stay at the residence.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Veronica’s Church, 1300 Carson Ave., Dorval, QC, H9S 1M6 on Wednesday Sept. 25th, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
Inurnment immediately following the ceremony, at Rideau Memorial Gardens.
Eva requested that donations in lieu of flowers be sent to the Montreal Heart Institute.
