BROSSEAU Laurent
1932-2018
MAGNUS POIRIER INC.Laurent Brosseau passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018, at the age of 85.
Laurent was a gentle and caring man but a man who could make tough decisions. He loved his work and gave over 22 years of public service in the Armed Forces retiring as a Warrant Officer.
Following that, he worked with Teleglobe Canada for a number of years until 1986. He was a man of integrity and strong moral values. He was always generous and a caring man to his family and friends. He loved to joke and enjoy life and in his spare time he enjoyed tinkering and solving little problems around the house or trailer to make life easier - give him a problem and he would solve it!!!
In 1994, following passing of Larry’s wife, Ruth (Watters) Brousseau,
he met Ghislaine who brought happiness and joy back into his life. He could not wait to marry her and they shared almost 24 wonderful years supporting each other.
Larry will be greatly missed by his family but God’s arms are around him now and he is at peace.
He is survived by his wife Ghislaine Faucher and was the loving Father of Carole (Bob) and Lucie.
He is also survived by his sisters Lucie and Thérèse and brother Roger. He was a loving Grandfather to Karen, Heather and Kim; loving Great-Grandfather to Kyle, Taylor, Braydon, Kaleb and Dakotah and his newest Great-Great Grandson Beau; as was he a loving Uncle to many nieces and a nephew. He was also cherished by Ghislaine’s 2 sons François (Justine) and Philippe (Jenny).
We will miss your great smile and your wonderful sense of humour.
Watch over us Dad. We love you.
You will be greatly missed…..a life well lived and a rest well earned.
You have our hearts! May God’s arms be around you now and may you be at peace.
Visiting hours for Laurent will take place at the Funeral Home Magnus Poirier, 6825 Sherbrooke Street East, Montreal, QC H1N 1C7 on April 24, 2018 from 10 am to 1 pm followed by the Ceremony at 1pm.
