Passed away on August 20th, 2013, after a courageous battle. Born in Campodipietra, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Maria (D'Attellis) Mariano, she is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Theo Maggio, and her precious children Vanessa (Gianni), Joel (Cristina) and Davide (Laura). She also leaves behind her sister Silvana (Silvano), her mother-in-law Giuseppina, her sister-in-law Fina (Angelo) and nephews and nieces.
She will always be remembered as being thougthful, kind-hearted, smart but above all as being the best mother a child can have and always putting her family first. The family would like to thank the staff at The Montreal Neurological Institute as well as The Palliatice Home-care Society of Greater Montreal for the kind and warm care she received during her battle.
The visitation will take place at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 Pie-IX Blvd, Montreal, on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 9 a.m. at Marie-Auxiliatrice Church in R.D.P., thence to Le Repos St-François D'Assise Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Palliative Home-care Society of Greater Montreal, 1110 Jean-Talon East, suite 301, Montreal QC, H2R 1V9.
