SZARAZ, Mme Maria

C’est avec beaucoup de tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Maria Szaraz, le 21 avril 2021, à l’âge de 82 ans.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles : Cindy Szekely (Brian) et Christine (Jeff); ses 4 petits-enfants: Kristopher (Joanie), Samantha, Gabrièle et Sebastien; ses 2 arrière-petits-enfants : Lyvia et Liam et sa meilleur amie et compagnon de marche Judy. Elle laisse également, dans son pays natal, son frère Miklos et sa famille; sa nièce Gaby et sa famille ainsi que ses nombreux cousins, cousines, autres liens de parenté et amis. Elle rejoint aussi son fils, feu Bill Szekely.
Une mère, grand-mère, arrière-grand-mère, sœur, tante et amie dévoué, Maria était le pilier de sa famille. Avec sa force, son courage et sa détermination elle a encadrée sa famille et tous ceux qu’elle aimait avec un support et amour inestimable. Que ça soit des cérémonies, concerts, évènement sportives, graduations ou tout simplement quand ces petits-enfants étaient malades, elle était toujours présente. Une âme dévouée, elle n’a jamais hésitée de prioriser le bienêtre des autres d’abord et avant tout. Elle était aussi reconnue pour son accueil et son sourire chez Martinizing, son entreprise de nettoyeur.
La famille tient à remercier tout le personnel médical pour les bons soins prodigués à Maria cette année. Nous apprécions énormément la gentillesse et le confort qu’elle a reçu au soin palliatifs pendant ses derniers moments.

It is with profound sadness and heavy heart that the family of Maria Szaraz mourns her loss, on April 21, 2021, at the age of 82.
She leaves to mourn her daughters: Cindy Szekely (Brian) and Christine (Jeff); her 4 grandchildren: Kristopher (Joanie), Samantha, Gabrièle and Sebastien; her 2 great-grandchildren: Lyvia and Liam and her best friend and walking partner Judy. In Hungary, her brother Miklos and his family; her niece Gaby and her family along with numerous cousins, relatives and friends that she adored back home. She was predeceased by her son Bill Szekely.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend, Maria was the pillar of our family through her strength, courage and unwavering support for those she loved. Whether it be ceremonies, concerts, sporting events, graduations or if a grandchild was just simply sick – you could always count on her showing up to encourage or support in any way. A selfless soul, she never hesitated to put everyone’s wellbeing above her own. She was widely known to others as the friendly face welcoming you into Martinizing, her dry-cleaning business.
Her family would like to thank the numerous medical professionals who provided care and assistance to Maria over the last year. We greatly appreciate the kindness and the commitment to her comfort provided by the Palliative Care staff throughout her final days.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to la Maison Aube-Lumière, 3071, 12th Ave. North, Sherbrooke, QC, J1H 5H3, or to a charity of your choice.
Your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you any longer, you will forever be by our side.
