MAGNUS POIRIER INC.
Peter Bruce Collins, also known to his friends as Josh, born on September 23rd, 1941 in Winnipeg Manitoba, was the son of Peter Collins and Bernice Levinsky. Peter passed away on April 14th at the Montreal General Hospital, at the age of 78. Peter was predeceased by his beloved son, Job Collins. He is survived by his 7 children, Josh Collins, Chloe Collins, Chela Zitani-Perkins, India Collins, Olivia Collins, Hunter Collins and Holden Collins; his three grandchildren Paloma, Marseo and Bobbi; his beloved Deirdre Cullen and lifelong friend, Gayle Schwartz. Peter was a musician, an artist, a dreamer and a rule-breaker. He lived an adventurous life that took him across the world playing and studying music. Later in his life, he settled into a career of glasswork in Montreal, where much of his art is still on display. Peter lived to the beat of his own drum. He had a cheeky and bombastic sense of humour, but also had a magic charm that carried him along the way. Peter had an affinity for all the arts, and even in his last days, he would recite his favorite poems and sing old songs. In his honor, a few lines from one of his favorites by Dylan Thomas: “Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light”. At his request, he will be cremated. For details about the celebration of his life, please contact Hunter Collins @ [email protected].
