MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Pieter Stutvoet at the age of 94. Pieter was the brother of the late Annechina Stutvoet, Anna Stutvoet, Freerk Stutvoet, Annechien Aukes-Stutvoet, Lammert Stutvoet, Lammechina Brunink-Stutvoet and Trijntje Stutvoet.
He will be sadly missed by his loving sister Harmke Drent-Stutvoet, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Pieter emigrated to Canada in 1961 and stayed for a short period of time in Vancouver before moving East and staying in Montreal. Here he established his home and worked until his retirement in many different hospitals around Montreal. Pieter loved the nature and spent most of his time in the woods on Mount Royal watching and feeding the squirrels and wildlife. He loved European football but not so much the other sports. Pieter was a very amiable person, but was a little bit shy and reserved at times. He loved his family and had visited back home in the Netherlands many times, his last time being in 1983.
A ceremony will be held on Friday, June 8th, 2018 at 11:00, at the chapel of the funeral home Magnus Poirier, 6825 rue Sherbrooke Est, Montreal, Qc.
Pieter will be resting at the Cemetery of Laval, 5505 Rang Bas St-Francois, Laval, Qc.
