WYLIE LOWE, Ruby
1923 - 2018Lachute
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful and wonderful mother on June 3 at the age of 94 at the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence in Hudson, Quebec.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Bernard who passed away at 37. She was the daughter of the late Peter Wylie and Mary McManus, predeceased by her siblings John (Doris), Bernard, twin brother Roy (Jean) and sister Frances.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Carmen (Judy) and Brendan (Sandy), her daughters Mary (Louis) and Sheila, her grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters-in-law and friends. Ruby was born on November 8, 1923 in East Hawkesbury, Ontario and lived most of her life in Lachute, Quebec. For those who knew her, it was obvious that her love for her children and her faith in God provided her with the courage and strength to live a full and meaningful life. She was her children’s rock and foundation and her memory will always live in their hearts. Ruby touched every one who came into her life with her soul and spirit and will always be remembered by her favorite saying “Do the best you can and leave the rest in the Hands of God”.
A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held at Sainte-Anastasie Church, 174 Bethany Avenue, Lachute, Quebec, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will take place at Salon Roland Ménard Inc. between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM (395 Rue Grâce, Lachute).
As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Foundation, 90 Como Gardens, Hudson, Quebec, J0P 1H0.
Special thanks to all the volunteers, staff and physicians for their exceptional care and compassion.
