MAGNUS POIRIER INC.BRONIS (Mike) MICHALISZYN
February 17, 1934 – April 8, 2024
At the age of 90, BRONIS (Mike) MICHALISZYN passed away surrounded by his heartbroken family in Montreal on April 8, 2024. A forty-year veteran of CP Rail and past member of the Montreal Board of Trade and the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation, he was an avid sportsman who kept a youthful physique well into his later years.
He will be sadly missed by the love of his life and true partner of 65 years of marriage Margaret Oravecz, his daughters Diana Lynn (Ron Brassard), Andrea (Chris Wilson), and his grandsons Eric Brassard (Justine Laberge) and Kevyn Brassard, as well as many other family members and friends. He has joined his beloved younger siblings Joan (the late Stanley Fuchs) and Richard (Denise Provencher).
With his easy charm and sincere kindness, he was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be fondly remembered by his community. In our hearts he will forever be.
Visitation will take place at the Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex at 6825 Sherbrooke Street East in Montreal on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 2-5 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. A viewing will also be held on Friday, April 26 between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the same location. A mass will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Église catholique Sainte-Louise-de-Marillac, 7901 Sainte-Claire Street in Montreal, followed by the entombment at Le Repos Saint-François d’Assise located at 6893 Sherbrooke Street East in Montreal.
In lieu of flowers, donations to https://www.saintaloysius.ca/Donations.html where Bronis and Margaret have been parishioners for almost six decades would be appreciated.
