MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Derio Rosa, on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at the age of 87.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Renata Rosa (Taciani), his loving children, Ernest (Nancy) and Elvira (Carlo), his precious grandchildren, Elli, Julian, Karina, and Noah, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carlo and Maria, his many nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends, near and far.
Derio was born and raised in his cherished town of Casasola, in Friuli, Italy before he moved to Montreal at the age 23. He was a man who lived his life with great joy and love. He was not afraid to be silly, loved to laugh, sing, garden and nothing made him happier than to be celebrating an occasion in the presence of friends and family.
Visitations will be held at the Magnus Poirier funeral complex, 10300 Pie-IX Blvd, Montréal-Nord, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
A mass will be held at Missione Marie-Auxiliatrice, 8550 av. Joliot-Curie, Rivière-des-Prairies, on June 20th at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Derio Rosa to the Montreal Heart Institute - Institut de Cardiologie de Montréal 5000 Rue Bélanger, Montréal, QC H1T 1C8.
