MAGNUS POIRIER INC.Gaspare Marchica passed away on November 2nd, 2023 at the age of 85. Despite overcoming two forms of cancer, he finally succumbed to ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. His battle with ALS was hard-fought and even until the very end, exemplified Gaspare’s rare ability to face life’s challenges with a smile that brightened the day of anyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Even in the face of this awful disease, Gaspare remained his characteristic happy, funny, caring and courageous self, characteristics that he passed on to his loving family and friends.
Beloved husband of Filomena Petrini Marchica. He will be profoundly missed by his loving children Carlo (Vanessa) and Enza, his cherished grandchildren Jack, Arianna, Giancarlo and Adriana, his sister Maria Cinelli and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 6825 Sherbrooke St E. Monday, November 6th, 2023 from 2 pm to 5 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm.
A ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 at 9 am at St. Léonard Catholic Church thence to the cemetery Notre-Dame-des-Neiges
