Avis de décès
LOKE, Mrs. Elsie
1942 - 2024Sherbrooke
It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of Elsie Loke, on October 12th, 2024 at the age of 82, after a six year battle with dementia.
She was the daughter of the Late Georges Loke and Winnifred Rawlings. She is predeceased by her dear and loving husband Lennart Linholm and sister-in-law Rikki (Pilvi) (Linholm) Hurley.
She leaves to mourn her sister-in-law Helgi (Linholm) and her late husband Lauri Metsasalu from Coquitlam, B.C., her cousins Shirley, Judy and Val as well as her many friends from the time spent as a nurse and later Director of Volunteer services at the Sherbrooke Hospital.
She lived a long and happy life, first as a child on Center Island in Toronto., and later down the line, when she and Lennart and their little dog Dudley moved to the Rock Forest area, she and I met and became best friends and «soul sisters» as she always liked to call us.
Unfortunately, sickness hit and rendered the end of her life so very difficult. She is now with God in her most desired Forever loving Home.
The family and I, her best friend and mandator Patricia Sergent, would like to thank Dr. j. Roy Desruisseaux at Argyll, and all the staff at «Les Jardins Pinecroft» in Magog, the kind doctors and personnel at the Magog Hospital, as well as the ones at the CHSLD in Coaticook for the care and compassion for Elsie and for myself who accompanied her in her very difficult end of life years.
A private Celebration of her life will take place in the very near future. Elsie will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her, and will forever be in our hearts.❤️
